Next Race: Sahlen's 6 Hours of The Glen

The Heart of England Forest has an ambitious vision: to plant, protect and preserve a huge broadleaf forest to benefit the environment, people and wildlife.– A place of tranquillity and natural beauty that’s open to anyone and planted with the help and support of everyone.

The Forest stretches across the heart of England – from the ancient Forest of Arden, south to the edge of the Vale of Evesham. It’s an area dense in cities, towns and industry. Which is why The Heart of England Forest is creating a place to walk under shady canopies and through airy glades, away from the busy urban areas that surround it.

The UK has less than a third of the native tree cover of many other European countries, including France, Germany and Italy. So far, the Heart of England Forest covers a mosaic of habitats across 7,000 acres of land, including 4,000 acres of new woodland. 1.9 million trees have been planted since the charity began. Its dream is for it to become 30,000 acres. But with patience and your support, who knows how far it will grow!

“The Heart of England Forest is doing an incredible job of creating and conserving a 30,000-acre forest that stretches across the Warwickshire and Worcestershire border, maximising biodiversity and providing health and wellbeing benefits to the public able to visit.  I’m excited to be partnering with them to support the charity’s work in addressing the climate crisis, while mitigating my carbon footprint from travel to endurance race and testing events.”

Alexander Sims

“We are delighted to be working with Alexander.  As an ambassador for the Heart of England Forest, Alexander will help to raise awareness about our important work on both a local and national level. Understanding the need to mitigate against climate change is at an all-time high, and the pandemic has brought the importance of connecting with nature sharply into focus, making this the perfect time for our partnership to make a real difference.”
