INDIANAPOLIS, USA (September 20, 2026) – Sims and Garcia return to form with P4 finish for Pratt Miller Motorsports at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
A chaotic final half of the race elevated the No. 3 Corvette of Antonio Garcia and Alexander Sims from 10th in GTD PRO after the second and final full-course yellow to fourth at the end.
There were a number of different fuel strategies among the field – plus contact and penalties for multiple cars – that swung the results in the favor of the No. 3 team.
ALEXANDER SIMS, NO. 3 CHEVROLET CORVETTE Z06 GT3.R: “I felt like we executed a really nice race today. We pushed up and were able to make up a couple of places in passing people on-track when we needed to. Circumstances really put us back a bit to start with. But then in the last stint I didn’t overtake anybody and we went from 10th to fourth. Obviously there were some people who were out of position and needed fuel and things like that, so it wasn’t a true 10th place. Nevertheless, just by keeping our nose clean and being sensible out there gained us positions. I would have taken fourth gladly starting the last stint. Nice to get a solid result again. I’m very pleased for the 4 car that they’ve gotten the lead and the Manufacturer Championship is more secure now, which is the way we want it going to Petit Le Mans. It’s perfect, really, and a decent day to be honest.”
